Thermal
Imaging from Thermal Survey Ltd

Thermal Survey ltd operate a range of imaging equipment to give a selection
of portability and resolution options. Therefore we can ensure that
you receive the most cost effective and appropriate service available.
Our passive,
non-invasive technology and experienced engineers will ensure that our
surveys cause little or no disruption to your working schedule.
Below are brief
descriptions of the most common applications of ground-based thermal
imaging, plus links to more detailed information. These are by no means
the only uses of thermal imaging, we are always happy to find new uses
for our experience and technology.
Building
Heatloss
As
energy becomes more expensive and the environmental effects of high
energy consumption become apparent, energy conservation is more important
than ever. Millions of pounds a year are wasted and energy over consumed,
due to ineffective or faulty insulation. Thermal imaging is perfect
for identifying insulation weaknesses, without any need to drill holes
in walls or damage the building in any way.

Equine
Thermal Imaging.
As
horses rarely speak, other methods are needed to assess the extent of
injuries and their subsequent healing. Many injuries, such as fractures,
sprains and bruising, produce increased heat, and are therefore detectable
with thermal imaging equipment.

Electrical
Integrity & Plant Condition Monitoring.
Many
mechanical and physical faults are easily detected with thermal imaging.
Cracks cause uneven heat distribution, worn bearings generate excess
heat, compressed air leaks cause local cooling. Thermal imaging is the
ideal way to identify problems at an early stage before they cause expensive
breakdowns and downtime.
Electrical components become unusually hot before ceasing to function,
therefore thermal imaging allows early detection and replacement. Replacement
of faulty components early also removes a major fire hazard.

Coldstorage
Surveys.
Coldstores
use a vast amount of energy and therefore money to maintain the low
temperatures they require. Therefore faulty insulation will increase
those costs immensely. Thermal imaging is ideal for finding damaged
insulation, and also needs no disruption of the building fabric, being
totally non-invasive.
